PSPS Govt PG College for Women Holds “Software Industry Career for Fresher” Seminar – Kashmir Reader
JAMMU: Department of Computer Applications Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with IQAC and NSS organized a seminar on “Career in Software Industry for Fresher”.
The program took place under the patronage of the director of the college, Professor Minu Mahajan.
She gave the welcome speech and congratulated the organizing committee for hosting the Career in the Software Industry information seminar for Fresher. She applauded the Ministry of the Interior, the government. of India and J&K Department of Higher Education for implementing the program called “Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center (I4C)” to combat cybercrime in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.
Furthermore, she insisted that students actively participate in such types of activities which will make them aware and safe from cybercrimes and help them choose a career in the software industry.
Uh. Sachin Padha was the resource person for the seminar.
In his speech, he deliberated on the different computer languages and their scope in the software industry. He discussed and made students aware of the scope of web programming. He made a special mention on the computer language C++ and PHP, a widely used open source scripting language, and how to find a career in them.
College staff and students actively participated in the seminar. A total of 286 students attended the seminar in the college auditorium.
The event was organized by the committee constituted for Cyber Jaagrokta (awareness) Diwas which includes Prof. Rohit Gupta (nodal officer), the members viz. Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr Javaid Iqbal, Prof Mamta Kundal, Prof Rajinder Kumar and Prof Poonam. Professor Mamta Kundal coordinated the entire program and Dr Javaid Iqbal gave the formal vote of thanks. Technical support for the event was provided by the Computer Applications Department.
