Open Source Platform Aims To Boost Cloud Native Deployments
Many digital transformation initiatives have been spurred on by the pandemic, but they are still too often held back by a lack of the technical skills needed to carry them out.
Now, although open source company WSO2 is launching Choreo, a new Integration as a Service (iPaaS) platform for cloud native engineering.
Choreo provides the infrastructure and tools businesses need for cloud native engineering, eliminating the time it takes to build a platform for the services and APIs deployed on Kubernetes. As a result, organizations can immediately focus on building, testing, and deploying APIs and services, and IT teams can take control of their DevOps flow, multi-production environment deployment, and configuration of production with a microservices-type programming model.
“Organizations are increasingly leveraging cloud-native platforms to accelerate time to market, scale quickly, and increase agility. Yet it is still too difficult. Getting digital products into production can take months or years as developers struggle with integration and complexity. adopt cloud native engineering practices and deploy them on Kubernetes-based platforms. We are removing these barriers with Choreo, our next generation iPaaS for cloud native engineering, ”said Eric Newcomer, CTO of WSO2. “Now developers of all skill levels can collaborate on producing enterprise-class code and APIs, whether they prefer to program in low-code, code, or even no-code using templates. And because it is an all-inclusive iPaaS, based on proven technology, can immediately focus on creating business value. “
The Choreo iPaaS is the first commercial application from Ballerina, a programming language that offers an unlimited code experience using two-way mapping for all source code between its textual syntax and its graphical representation as a sequence diagram. This translates into easier collaboration between developers with varying skills, as well as source code independent of Choreo, giving businesses full control.
Choreo is available today in public beta and you can find out more on the WSO2 site.
