The St. Peter of Covington Young Adult Ministry, in conjunction with the Archdiocese of New Orleans Young Adult Office, will host an evening of discussion and conversation with Mary Bielski on her book, “Risen and Restored: Writing Our Stories “. During the July 22 event for young adults ages 21-35, Bielski will explore the book of Ephesians and Saint Paul’s call into a deeper gospel truth with his transforming power inside out. Online planning of church trip 2022 in the Alps
There will be an online meeting on July 26 to provide information on a 2022 trip planned by members of the Aldersgate Methodist Church to the Bavarian Alps to see the Oberammergau Passion Play, considered by many to be the the most famous passion game in history.
This Zoom briefing, open to anyone interested in the trip, will be held at 7 p.m. to discuss the details of the excursion from June 27 to July 5. Tour organizer Gayla Nelson will be online to provide an overview and answer questions.
In addition to attending the 42nd performance of this legendary production, the summer trip will include sightseeing trips to Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich to see castles, majestic mountains and idyllic villages.

The Oberammergau Passion Game has been played every 10 years since 1634, when the villagers swore an oath to God during the Black Death. Over 2,000 Oberammergau villagers are needed to put on the six-hour musical depicting the last days of Jesus Christ.
